Cheerleading WSSU Cheerleaders To Hold Fourth Annual Cheer Explosion Camp5/6/08 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Winston-Salem State University cheerleading advisor Lori Dobbins announced on Tuesday that the Lady Rams' cheerleading program will hold their fourth annual instructional cheerleading camp in the C.E. Gaines Center, from June 19-21, 2008. The instructional camp is designed to develop all beginner, intermediate, and advanced cheerleaders, ages 7-17, under the guidance of certified instructors. WSSU Cheerleaders Place Second at MEAC Cheerleading Competition3/18/08 RALEIGH, NC - The Winston-Salem State University cheerleading squad made history on Saturday, March 15 with a dynamic performance at the 2008 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Cheerleading Championship. The meet was a historic one for the WSSU squad as it was the team's first appearance in an official meet since the athletic department's transition to NCAA Division I classification. The team did not disappoint brining home numerous honors and giving the rest of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference a taste of what's to come. Story.  WSSU Cheerleading Announces Mascot And White Team (JV) Tryouts6/3/07 Winston-Salem, NC - Winston-Salem State University Director of Cheerleader Operations Lori Dobbins, announced on Sunday that the WSSU Cheerleading squad will hold open mascot tryouts on August 23, 2007 at 7:00 pm and will hold White Team (Junior Varsity) Cheerleading tryouts on September 24-27 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm, both in the C.E.
