The Rams were paced by a pair of student-athletes who recorded season-low rounds in the 70's as Joshua Sherrell led WSSU with a team-low round of 73 while Jerell Fields fired a 78.
Sherrell is tied for sixth place in the individual medalist portion of the tournament as he turned in a round of one over par following a 38 on the front nine and a 35 on the back nine.
Fields is sitting in 22nd place overall with a six-over par round of 78 as he turned in a 40 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine en route to posting his best round of the season.
David Vanegas leads the tournament after 18 holes of play with a two under par round of 70. Three other players are tied for second place with one-under rounds of 71 with Bethune-Cookman's Carl Corbin and Willie Mack battling
Rounding out the scoring for the Rams was Kenneth Lathan with a round of 90; Steven Mason with a round of 91; and Lance Holmes with a team-high round of 94.
The Rams return to action at 12:00 pm on Sunday as they begin final-round action from the Florida A&M Spring Golf Invitational.
