2007: Cory had a solid junior season in 2007 when he competed in all six meets last season...He posted his best time in the 8K at the UNC-Pembroke Invitational, the first meet of the season with a time of 32:11.0...He tied the time in the final meet of the season, the Erskine Invitational...He finished the Adidas Wolfpack Invitational, a 5000m event, in a time of 20:17.0.
2006: Wright competed in three meets posting his best time of the season with a 29:27.74... The effort also netted Wright his best finish of the season placing him 10th in the field of 31 runners...He finished 54th at the Old Northstate Championships... He recorded a time of 00:33:50.3 at the Greensboro Invitational where he finished 114th.
2005: As a freshman, Wright competed in five meets ... He finished 62nd with a time of 23:55.06 at the UNC-Wilmington Seahawk Cross Country Invitational...He finished 24th at the Southern Open Meet hosted by Winston-Salem State with a time of 32:06 in the event ...His next best finish came at the Eye-Opener Cross Country Invitational hosted by Wofford where posted a time of 32:47 to finish 96th overall...He finished with a time of 32:54 at the Hagen Stone Cross Country Classic...Wright rounded out the season with a 32nd place finish at the CIAA championship meet with a time of 32:41.90.
Personal: Wright rejoins the Rams' cross-country and track and field teams for his final season in 2008 following very successful campaigns in 2005, 2006, and 2007 ...A native of Belleville, Ontario, Canada, he is a 2005 graduate of Glenn High School in Kernersville, NC where he served as his High School cross-country captain en route to All-Conference honors in 2004...Was a member of the Bobcats swim team, and served as captain earning MVP honors in 2004-05...Won the swimming and track and field coaches award his senior season as well...The son of Ken and Dawn Wright...A Physical Therapy major at WSSU...Born in Belleville, Ontario, Canada on July 6th, 1987.
