2004-05 David turned in another stellar year for the Lady Rams and was once again one of WSSU's most consistent bowlers...Helped to lead WSSU to a CIAA Western Division regular-season crown and a #1 seed in the CIAA Bowling Championship Tournament...Ranked second on the Lady Rams in pinfall and served as team co-captain...An NCAA Woman of the Year Finalist and the representative for the State of North Carolina...Named the 2004 WSSU Female Athlete of the Year...A Dean's List scholar who earned her third Academic Cup Award...Finished her softball eligibility at the conclusion of the 2005 softball season in which she earned All-CIAA honors for the third time.
2003-04: 2003-04 marked Davis' second season as a member of the Lady Rams' bowling team...Helped to lead the Lady Rams to a first-place finish and a CIAA Western Division regular-season title...Finished the 2003 season ranked 11th in the CIAA Western Division in average with 139.4 pins per game...Named Crown Trophy-WSSU Student Athlete of the Week once ...Helped lead the Lady Rams to an NCAA Women's Bowling Championship at-large bid...Appeared in the first-ever NCAA Women's Bowling National Championship in Houston, TX on April 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2004...Amassed a total pinfall of 1104 pins at the NCAA Championship, turning in an average of 157.71...Named to the CIAA Commissioner's All-Academic First-Team.
2002-03: 2002-03 marked the first season that Davis was a member of the Lady Ram's bowling team...She proved to be one of the most dominant bowlers in the conference last season, as she was named to the All-CIAA First Team.
Personal: The daughter of Wanzie and Margaret Davis...Born in Detroit, Michigan on December 24th, 1982...Older sister Heather is a pitcher/third baseman on the WSSU Softball team...Double-majoring in business administration and sports management...Graduated from Detroit Renaissance High School in 2001...The most vocal leader on the Rams' roster...Led her High School team to three straight league championships in softball (1997-2000)...Also played small forward on her high school basketball team...Lives by the motto "With love in your heart, with faith in your soul and trust in the Lord, you can overcome anything"...Most often seen with roommate and softball teammate Alexis Portlock, softball teammate Toyia Vaughan. The sister and former teammate of sister and NCAA Woman of the Year finalist from the state of North Carolina Heather Davis.
