Hampton, VA - Winston-Salem State University women's bowlers Lashonda Horton (Greenville, NC) and RaDonna Kirby (High Point, NC) were both named to the All-CIAA bowling team as announced by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association on Tuesday afternoon.
Horton, a native of Greenville, NC and Kirby, a native of High Point, NC are both senior bowlers on the WSSU women's bowling team and helped the Lady Rams earn a #3 seed in this weekend's CIAA women's bowling championship tournament.
Lashonda Horton placed third in the CIAA Western Division with a 161.054 average while Kirby placed only percentage points behind with a 160.809 average, good enough four fourth in the West.
The Lady Rams enter the weekend's tournament with a 31-33 record overall and look to capture their first ever CIAA women's bowling title and earn another berth to the NCAA women's bowling championships, something that they have not done since the 2003-04 season.
