Rams, Lady Rams Amid Tough Field at Greensboro Invitational

Sept. 28, 2007

GREENSBORO, NC - The Rams and Lady Rams cross country teams will face a tough field when they return to Hagan Stone Park to take part in the Greensboro Invitational. The team will face some top notch competition from all three NCAA Collegiate Divisions.

The Rams and Lady Rams will face teams from High Point, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, Brevard, and Coker College. Against such a tough field of competition, the WSSU cross country teams will need some top performances in order to be competitive.

Lady Ram junior Irene Jeptolo finished first at the Old North State Championships last weekend at Hagan Stone Park and will look to report the performance when she lines up on Saturday morning. Ram senior Kenneth Keoch will also look to follow up a solid performance as he placed 11th at the Old North State Championships last weekend.

Competition for colleges and universities will begin at 1:00 pm and at 1:45 p.m. at Hagan Stone Park in nearby Greensboro, NC.
